Put in at Lyons Ferry for a couple of mornings chasing salmon. We trolled tuna filled Brad's Super Baits (hot tamale & Seahawk) and spinners, with salmon and garlic scents, with nary a bite. We varied our speeds from 2 up to 4 mph. Also visited with other frustrated salmon fishermen. Saw several shrimp and bobber people after steelhead, but the fishing was slow for them as well.
Salvaged both days by switching to catfish in the afternoon near the bridge at the Marina. Caught 3 the first day (the biggest was 11 pounds!) & 2 the second day (the biggest was 8 pounds). Drifted with the wind, used specialty hotdogs.
Remember, it's a war against fish!
