Got the boat in the water by 11:00. Fished Douglas Bar with black/purple and black/crimson hoochies, blue and red fox, and 50/50 dick nights. No luck. Gave up at 5:00. My son's friend caught a pink on a pink hoochie but it was too ripe to keep. Lots of Zombie pinks swimming the river.

Most folks around us were fishing eggs but weren't catching anything. I'll have to give eggs a try next time because I heard eggs worked well in the morning. Now to figure out how to fish with eggs.

We were fortunate to catch a lot of pinks when the season opened. My son caught 4 fish with one cast - he snagged someone's stringer that was floating down the river. Two were still very much alive so he released them. The other two were great eats.
