Went back to my favorite spot at the mouth of the Walla Walla river.
Had a line in the water at 8:00 A.M. FISH ON at 8:05. 10 pound channel cat. If this sounds familiar, the same thing happened the last time I was there two weeks ago. In the next hour, my friend caught another that went 12-15 pounds, and I caught another 10 pounder. That was at 9:05. Then they went to sleep. Did not get another byte in the 3 hours we stayed. They must stop moving after the sun comes up. Next time I will try on overnight trip. But 3 big channel cats in first hour made the trip worthwhile.
