Fish are not active on the surface there now. I guess they moved up. I also heard of only 1 fish caught and there were 5 boats and about 25 bank anglers. I talked to the boat guys and they all seemed to be experienced fisherman.

10/15/2015 8:23:00 AMNice job, Pat! I was thinking about contacting you when I saw Mike grabbed the "ballast / deckhand" spot in your boat. I ended up going to Bob Heirman's, but only saw 2 coho jump in about 3 1/2 hrs. No fish on anyone's line. A few other bank fishermen like me, and 5-6 boats anchored opposite us during the morning. Tossed Dick Nites and Vibrax spinners and Gibbs Ironheads, but no takers. Pretty humorous listening to the boat guys banter with newly arriving boats. Two different boats who had caught no fish told the new boats the same thing as they left: "Well, we got our 3 here. Time to go!" ;-) Amusing.

10/15/2015 9:19:00 AMSaw nothing at TE yesterday for the 5 mins at lunchtime, good job getting anything. I don't like unsolicited advice but I'm telling you to get a new fillet knife and not use your swiss army pocket knife!! Still, bet it tastes good. I'm having leftover coho for lunch too.

10/15/2015 8:27:00 PMFunny you should mention my hack-job. I have a really nice rapella fillet knife - the big ones with the wooden handle, but that's at home where I normally pack my fish. On the way home this time, I stopped at Countryside Doughnuts in Bothell (BEST damn doughnuts anywhere!). The Cambodian lady that owns the place always asks me to bring her fish heads so she can make stock, so I just filleted the fish in the parking lot with my small rapella knife in my tackle box - which was...DULL! (can you tell?)
Anyhow, she was happy w/the carcass and I get another round of free doughnuts tomorrow morning! :)

10/15/2015 11:13:00 PMYep been there, one time I was on my way home from fishing and I had my catch in my back pack, so I got some chinese food togo, the lady serving me saw my gear(I used to take the bus so I had to bring my stuff with me) and asks how was the fishing, long story short I ended up giving her my catch in front a resturaunt full of people from my back pack and got some interesting looks from the patrons lol...not the exact same circumstances.. close enough.. good chinese food though...
