The last day we fished was last Saturday, we got skunked as did just about everybody we spoke to. The coho run in the Chehalis is coming in at about 30% of projected return numbers, this means that it doesn't look good for year 2018. The state has shut down the commercial (non-tribal) gill-netters to protect remaining fish, don't think that the Quinault have shut down, ALL fish in this river should be left alone from this point on. 10/22/2015 9:38:00 AMi see the skoks are applying for fishing rights on both the chehalis, AND satsop rivers. they see what is happeneing to the non indian nets. so, they will step up to the challenge!- nets ahoy! supposed to hear more on this, after nov 4. also, a second tribe, may also apply for the same rivers. that will be three on the great chehalis system. if this happens, they will have to stop all sport, to save some spawners.
