Whatcom Creek

Species: Chum Salmon

Went to nooksack under the bridge at Lynden, didn't know the water was that high up, so I decided maybe it's ripe season for whatcom creek.

Arrived at around 1:30pm, surprised at the abnormal fishermen there are compared to the last two weeks. Water isn't clear, but the chums are there alright. However, it's a snag organization there; everyone trying to snag near the yellow line, and no fish was hooked in the mouth that I saw the whole 2 hours there. There was a guy offering to hook one for me and then I can reel it in; I refused because i was leaving soon, though (sorry mate).

On my way out, three guys who caught their limit also leave while carrying what seems to be 70+ lb of chums, so i asked them to take a picture because I thought that was cool (I never caught one single salmon in my life before..)

Wonder what happens to the crowd if there was a game warden at the scene.
