Had a chance to get away and do some steelhead fishing on the Grande Ronde yesterday and wow what a great day it was,started out 3am and a 2 1/2 hr drive, arrived on the river 5:30am, started fishing 6am,first steelhead on 7am nice hen about 7lbs on #14 orange corkey on 36" leader and pencil lead, next fish came 30min later on #14 red corkey with yellow polka dots and weighed 8lbs, next fish came at 9am on red corkey with yellow polka dots and manwhat a fish, it hit like a freight train and took drag ,when I finally got it in it was 11lb hen which I gotta a ton of row made from, loaded the truck with my limit in steelhead and headed home.
