Today downstream of the Everson bridge I was talking to a couple pontoon boaters and an old bull COHO really scraped up swam up to my feet looked at me, and turned away heading downstream.
The unique thing about this bull is it looked very ratty. Like post spawning ratty. But it was a very nice solid body fish about 24-26" long. This bull was seen about 1/4 mile downstream of the bridge. Right at the river corner in the slack water.
On the way back toward the bridge, about half way back a nice black back shot out of the water in the rapid about half way back upstream.
No fish, but at least I saw some, The sunset on the Nooksack was amazing tonight!
