After three days of the South Fork, I do not have much to show. The fish are definitely there, but they have lock jaw so tight their mouths could be duct taped. This evening (10/6) we witnessed maybe 30 coho jumps/rises within about half an hour. During the heavy rain they seemed very active. Not a single fish bit a single thing. I've also had the pleasure of losing four spinners and about 8 jigs. Did happen to snag a native coho a few days ago who was fairly spawned out. I went through most of Yeager's jig selection, so sorry if you only have a couple to pick from until they restock. I tried just about everything I can with the selective gear regulations, so I'm not sure what my next idea will be. But I plan on trying an early morning within the next couple days to test out the first-light-bite. Wish me luck! I will need it.
