Coho Salmon

Caught my first ever yarn and corkie coho this morning. 6lb hen. Fish were coming through in waves, and lots of jumpers. Caught a little cutthroat also, released... Many exciting head shaking bites for about 45 minutes, but could only land the one. Near hwy 18.

I swear the coho looked dime bright before its black garbage sack ride home (5min drive). Was kinda disappointed by appearance when I got home.

...but upon return to my truck (was only fishing an hour) my door had been jimmied open, and the contents of my truck scattered in the parking lot. No damage to my truck, and less than 200 dollars worth of stolen stuff.

The two trucks next to mine though, had there windows busted out.

My buddy had similar happenings last week at the nearby park and ride.

(i thing these guys are the local young tweaker kids i see out from time to time in the evening, might be living in the woods here.)

What were you using? And how was the water level?
Sucks about your truck and the others.

Water level good, little high. Small corky, orange yarn.

open up to aub black diamond road bridge, only open for another week(?). Thanks, I thought the fish looked ok too, and so did my fellow bank anglers, but it was pretty mushy...I think I will be smoking my river salmon from now on, tired of being disappointed by the meat quality
