Was down on Minter with my son and had a fabulous time. Friendly people there, not many snaggers (at least not that I could see). Parked by the hatchery, walked across the bridge and walked about 100 yards down the creek where 1 guy was fishing. My son, age 10, who's the real fisherman of our family, was using a yellow corky and yarn. This was his first experience fishing for chum and was thrilled when he hooked into a 10+ pounder. As he retells the story, "It fought like crazy!" He was so excited. After landing his fish and capturing a couple photos, he was back at it. Soon after, and a couple casts later he hooked into a 8+ pounder. Got 3 in 1 hour then decided that we should go home. Let him do all the fishing. Definitely going there next year.
