Woke up at 5:00am with a plan to fish, but no plan on where to go. With a wind advisory I kept the float tube in the garage, and let the trout in Campbell live another day. I figured I would shoot up the highway to Reiter to see if I could have some smoked steelhead for a Thanksgiving appetizer. I ended up arriving at 6:30am with only one other car in the lot. The two of us focused on the slot just above and below the outlet. After about an hour and only one other fisherman showing up it was apparent its still just a bit earlier for the steel to be up that high. Maybe I should have stuck it out longer but I know one of us should have had a hook up if there was fish in. I know ive usually caught my skykomish winter runs starting mid December.

Thanks for the reports. I've been thinking of trying also but I also think it was a little to early for winter fish

My dad is headed to bush point for some saltwater steel tomorrow. Hope he can find them.
