Fished tailout right above bridge near Eagle Cliff store. Day was very hot, 95 degree's, and fish were deep in holes. Flyfished only using weighted (hairsear caddis and small beaded nymphs) at first. Landed two rainbows 10-14 inches first few minutes. Switched to dry flies using caddis #14 and Adams #14 and tore ...it...up!!!! Figured I would try some dry's once shade hit, and to see if they would rise, and they did. Landed several large trout (Bulls, and a Brown, and several rainbows. Turned off at sundown, but certainly startled me at the activity given water was warm, sun was hot as heck, and they should have not been hitting as aggressively as they did on dry's. Learn something new everyday I guess! Not a lot of pressure apart from some locals youngsters who thought diving into that same hole was proper. Given the heat, I don't blame them.....STOP!! who am I kidding???, I was po'd,but bit my tongue. River belongs to everybody.
