My brother & I finally found a lake that never skunks us. Slow trolling using the same rig or casting against the cliffs or brush we have consistently caught decent size bass, crappie, perch, sunfish, catfish, and rainbows. All the fish are healthy (fat). Haven't yet got anything huge but great fishing, keepers, and a good time. Best fishing is early morning and late evening. The rest of the time it's slow and too hot so we fish the pools in the outlet stream and get fat 15" + rainbows. Even my wife and kids catch fish no problem. A friend of ours with his $500 rod & reel can't seem to do any good, though. Went this spring (2000) but the water was pretty low (all the brush was above waterline), but still able to come back with those rainbows out of that outlet. Have rarely seen anyone else at the lake even on weekends and it's in a popular area of lakes.
