Had a little more time after work tonight so I took my canoe down to this little lake - hint: The actual name of this body of water has been mentioned on this site by me before. Tried a drop shot & worm for awhile with no luck, so I started throwing a little floating crawdad lure to the shore. Caught my BIGGEST BASS EVER off of it.. heh heh, but that is not saying much, but at least I got to try doing a self-portrait from a boat!

Crawdad, Crayfish, Crawfish... We always called them Crawdads, It is dark brown and about 3" long. I have had great luck with the little thing. Caught Perch, Trout & now Bass on it. Here is a link to a picture: http://www.outdoorguides.com/outdoor/hedbomlur/rebdtwcr.jpg

Hey Gringo I figured out your spot. heh heh I like the hint R.B. That is a good size body of water. How deep is it? I'm always looking for stuff close to home. For me Ballinger is pretty close and so you know I have caught a nice bass(3lb) out of there and seen bigger.

Good job EBM, I figured the "locals" would get it right away. I am thinking depth is about 15-20'? I am actually thinking to go to Ballinger for my maiden pontoon outing. Maybe I can hit you up for a bass lesson over there?!?

Oh no, I know what a crawdad is. I was just asking because crawdads are mostly bottom creatures, and floating sort of puzzled me.

HA! I think I figured out your lake! Completely by accident! I was looking to see if my secret lake was in the King County listings or if it was secret. Turns out, I (might have) found yours too by accident.
