Went back with a great fishing buddy to spend a day up at the lake to try and hook into some of those big, gorgeous fish that this lake routinely pumps out. Went out early morning. 7am start, fished till 9:30am. Slow action, but did land 6 fish, all over 14 inches, none better then 17 inches. Was just too cold and the fishing wasn't that great. We left, and returned later in the afternoon to find a complete change in scenery. Sunny skies, less wind, and more people on the lake. No worries. More pressure on the lake has never slowed the fishing for us.

We get no more then 100 feet from the launch and before we can even stick the lines in the DR clips, my buddy latches onto a 18 incher as he has the line in his hand, trying to get the line in the DR clip. Release that fish, shortly afterwards, I hook into a nice 18 incher and some pictures are taken and the fish is on it's way. Fishing was hot for the next 3 and a half hours. Was out from 1pm to 4:30, probably hooked into 25+ fish between me and my buddy, and landed close to 20 of them. Highlight of the day was the 20 incher that is in the picture. Fish doesn't look anything near that 20" mark, but my hands are absolutely huge and I'm 6'4"....

Was a great day. Didn't see anything under 14 inches, and most fish were just around the 15.5 inch mark....Was a great day on the water, and the afternoon session really saved the morning letdown we had...

My buddy used a white/red dick nite, I used a silver/red dick nite and a coachdog flatfish. F4 size. That hit the two big fish for me. 18" and 20" inchers...

Sometimes it sucks bein a big guy! Makes the fish look small. too bad we arn't around 5'00" with little hands then we would allways have monster fish! Bring um in boys!
