Well since my luck has been so great so far this year(yeah right) I thought I would go to my friends private pond along I-5 near Vader, thought I should get something in here. since my son was driving me crazy to go to this place because he can catch bluegills the whole time. well right off the bat I saw a 2-3 lb bass cruising around this one spot, so I through some plastic worms at it, then a jig, then a spinner bait, this thing was following me everytime, senko, you name it! nothing so I moved on, seen a bullfrog sittin on the bank, through my worm and he nailed it and caught him, played with him for a minute and put him back (I love frogs) walked around try some more spots, hit one good one but missed, It kept coming at me but wouldn't take it, was about 3 pounds or so, then my son starts screaming to me "daddy I got a big one" sure enough a bass is splashing and he gets to the shore. it was about 1 pound little more i guess But real exciting for him, his first bass. I caught 1 dink. I'm going crazy I'm getting outdone by my 7 year old! lol I need some action. all fish and bullfrogs released as always.
