I have been coming to this part of the state since last year. And only by accident, was I able to find out this spot holds some nice Bronzebacks..I found a spot on the river where as small stream runs into the river..This is where I was catching most of the smallies..They really didn't have too much size to them, the ones pictured were the biggest, but they are so much fun to catch and really test my tackle. I was using a rebel craw fire colored crankbait. Instead of normal cast and retrieve I would do a herky jerky motion and reel kinda fast to get it deep so it would bump the rocks below and I swear they hit almost every time when I stopped my retrieve. The shoreline was pretty muddy and really windy at times, so I knew the fish were most likely feeding on those crustaceans..I love this spot and will be back in a couple weeks...I know there are some big ones swimming around....
