I went to this place specifically targeting Tiger Trout. They were in there, but recent stockers, no more than 9" long,
But there were ALSO German Browns in this lake...and some very nice ones, I was pleased to discover. Biggest measured in at 16", with a two 15 inchers to go with him.
I got all of them at the upper, shallow end of the lake, which surprised me as it was a fairly warm day. I had started out fishing a bit deeper, and only caught two 'dink' Browns, both of which I let go. I had come ashore for lunch and met some folks who advised me to try the upper end instead. I did, and...fish-on! All of them put up a really nice fight, with one long run after another. Curiously, the Tiger trout had a habit of swimming in rapid circles, trying to spit the hook.
Gorgeous scenery, too ( See Pic ) I give this day 4 for 5, the only dark spot being that I broke the latch on my truck's tail-gate while packing up, and now it's stuck in the 'closed' position.
Not gonna give away the name of this one, coz it's a fairly small body of water, but I think at east a few folks may guess from the accompanying pictures
