I was out by Maple Valley and decided to stop at this lake and give it a try. There was one person on the dock and he wasn't having any luck at all. I put 2 green shrimp flavor mashmellows and a a little bit of powerbait earthworm on and settled down to get skunked once more (story of my life lately). Imagine my joy when i saw my line go out and my pole take a dip towards the water...Fish On! An boy what a fish, he came out of the water twice an i seriously thought he was gonna snap my line. Hauled him in to discover a kokanne about 2-3 pounds and 19 inches long. Then I tried the same set up and within 10 minutes i had a very nice 13 inch trout on. By then the sun was starting down and so was the temp, so I called it a day. Not to bad for less than an hour. :)

You've cleaned both spawning salmon and trout, But never found a spawning trout? I haven't caught a lot of kokes but that sure looks like a big rainbow, and yes they spawn too. Nice fish Kcc whatever it is. Good luck out there.
