Fellow WALakes angler and good friend Mattyg was in the neighborhood so I took him to my favorite watering hole. We both were using 7 inch Gambler Floating Worms greenpumpkin color. I have never tried this technique fishing plastic worms topwater, but the lake was glass smooth and we both noticed a bunch of fry being chased around near bushes and overhanging trees. After getting the feel of the action, after my 5th cast, it wasn't a huge explosion on the surface, but more like a big gulp. Fish on! Picture taken and weighed barely under 5 pounds and released unharmed. Matty finally had one on after an hour, but the fish took him into some bushes and we never seen it..He said was for sure bigger than mine, but we'll never know.
