Well in case anyone forgot, this weekend marked the opening of many Puget Sound area rivers and streams. I hit up one of my local favs and he fish were cooperative after the little rainfall we had early this morning, quit. Most of the fish I caught were while side drifting but I did manage a few using a float and mini jig. It was a real fish buffet today, never really new what I was hooked into until it showed itself. Species caught included cutts, bows, peamouth, a silver and a sucker. Flows were a bit higher than I remember them being last year, but I bet this upcoming week's weather will cure that. If you do get out, do so early on those smaller rivers and streams, once the sun hits the water the bite really dies off. PS - I really need to work on my underwater photography skills!

Selective gear fishery? Did you keep any? Does look like a variety of fish caught. The last photo is hard to ID that fish, does not look like a Coho, trout or cutty. Is it a sucker or squaw fish by chance?

The hard to make out fish is a peamouth chub, in full spawning color. Didn't keep any fish that I caught, just a nice morning out on the water.
