went up steamboat slough on my pontoon boat (east ) from the boat launch. using a brown rooster tail trolling on #1, 4# line on a spinning combo i was there for 15-20 min's when i got a hit that got my attention fast. after landing the fish ( i had no idea what kind it was) and getting the hook out of its throat, i put it back in the water. later i found out it was a squaw fish. nothing else the rest of the day. Saturday i went up skamakaway slough to the north. trolled with a friend for about 20 min's got a nibble, nibble , nibble, bam. it was a very pretty 10" rainbow. as i started to net him, he thought different and unhooked him self. fun none the less. nothing else for the rest of the day.
