We chose the Keller Ferry area for our first trip ever to Lake Roosevelt and we never had a problem catching fish. We caught numerous smallmouth everytime we went out with about half being dinks and the rest 1-2 lbs. But I must say, a 1 lb smallie fights like it thinks it weighs 4lbs. We managed to get a couple of Walleyes too and they tasted terrific (first walleye ever)! The surprise of the trip came while attempting to troll bottom walkers for more walleye (something we have never attempted). I was letting my line out when my pole double over. I shouted to my wife, "I'm snagged, take the motor out of gear!" Then my line shot sideways and it was, "Holy Smokes....its a fish!" After a brief but spectacular fight and a netting routine worthy of the Keystone Cops we had a beautiful 4 1/2 lb Rainbow in the boat. And after a few snapshots, we released it for someone else who likes to eat trout!

All in all, a great trip! And here is the evidence......
