Got to the lake a little late this morning, but it was a great day; if you like hot, calm, almost fishless days. Water was 64 deg. below Little Falls Dam and 74 deg. at Porcupine Bay. Marking fish was tough at best, but I did catch a few (dozen) 11" to 14" hammer handle Walleye. The small Small Mouth Bass were quite active when you found the right spot. Campers on the lake told me that they dropped the water almost 5' overnight. I am not sure that it was quite that much, but I did see a couple of beached/stranded house boats. This much water level change might have caused the fish to go deep and go to sleep.
