Arrived at Seven Bays late afternoon so we headed out to try our luck at our favorite spot near Spit Rock. We trolled the same combo we've been using for the past several months, but it was a no-go this time. The water was dead calm, almost like glass, and there was no wind whatsoever to create any chop. On the upside, the heavy overcast and light showers cleared enough for one of the most beautiful sunsets we've seen in quite awhile, so even though we didn't even get a bite, we were treated to a spectacular display to end our day on the water. I wasn't worried, we had two more days left to fish! :-)

Excellent photo! Roosevelt is that way.....even if you don't get a bite, it's one of the most enchanting places to fish! For those rainbow and kokanee, it seems that a nice chop is part of their picky menu!

Sometimes it is such a pleasure to just sit back, enjoy nature, and be in paradise, makes me want to head for Roosevelt. What a good day you had, and no fish to clean. Hope you report on the next two days.

Wouldn't it be great if Lund, Hewes, Ken, myself and anyone else who wanted to join in...meet up at Roosevelt soon! I have reservations for mid March and April already....hummmm just a thought!!

Guys, I have to agree, there's something special about the scenery at Roosevelt. I am always awed by the beauty there. I'm game for meeting up at Roosevelt, just need dates and as long as it's a weekend, we can be there. We've got reservations for the last weekend in April if anyone's interested in meeting up for an outing. :-)
