Well our Steelhead guys had out Dan and Susie Flick with Susie's brother Mike Russell. After braving the ice covered roads and ramp they mostly fished in the Pateros area. The key was increased water flow. They were using 1/8 and 1/4 ounce Maxi jigs in Red, Orange and Pink baited with Pautzke cured shrimp. The varied the depth of the jigs from 4 to 25 feet trying to keep the jigs just above the bottom. They hooked thirteen fish, got nine to the boat. Five of the nine were hatchery keepers. This area is red hot now. They had a great day as the weather broke and temps got briefly above freezing.
