Dale Rees from Tacoma had been out with us before on Lake Chelan and wanted to try a multi-venue day. He decided that he'd like to fish for Steelhead for half a day and at Rufus Woods for Triploids for half a day. Andy took him and our Summer Salmon Specialist, Jeff out to do this. They put in at Wells Dam and fished jigs and bobbers between Wells Dam and the Beebe bridge, hitting seams, rips and current breaks. It was a pretty good morning with 5 fish to the boat, 2 of which were keeper hatchery fish. One bright hen and one colorful 11.8 pound buck. See my Rufus Report for the second half of the day. This is a great time of the year to do two or even three venues in the same day. This is a great time of the year to fish the Upper Columbia for Steelhead, Rufus for triploids and Lake Chelan for Mackinaw.
