Water clear and into the brush, quite high. Using the twin pontoon with twin MinnKota electrics (well, 55 and 46 lb thrusts), my fearless dogs and I struggled against the current (fearless or bored, not sure), and held with 18 lb anchor for a couple of hours. Caught 8 medium size whitefish on brown whitefish flies, size 14, tipped with maggots, lost 2, and hooked something big and silver, probably a steelhead (?), but it tore the little hook out. Never saw it clearly, fun fight though, and would have turned it loose anyway. The current finally tore the anchor loose, and I was tired of fighting it with the electrics. They must have turned more water loose from Priest. One other boat seen after I pulled out, anchored near the dam. Beautiful sunny day. Fun on ultralight. Dogs unimpressed. They prefer bass and walleye.
