Got on the water at about 10am or so key points listed below, too many trips fishing as of late writing really detailed long reports is becoming more of a challenge.
First time hitting 7 bays area, put all the "hot spots" from the LR map in the gps and headed out.
Water temp: 38 degrees at surface.
Wind: calm in morning, afternoon NNE gusting to 15 mph
Jig fishing water depth: 10-50 FOW
Jig setup: 3/8 oz ball head jig, crawler trailer with second hook.
Trolling depth: 30-60 FOW
Trolling setup: 18 lb lead core with assorted rapalas.
Fished 3 miles north of 7 bays marina and 3 miles south of marina.
Got two bites on the day that I didn't capitalize on. From talking with other boats at the launch it was a tough day for trout and walleye boats only came back with a few if they were successful.
Fort spokane trip next weekend, or possibly going into the spokane arm itself soon.
Tight lines and heavy nets.
