Had a chance to fish out of Fort Spokane this weekend. We fished leaded line and flies as well as mono with rapalas. Friday we fished a couple hours down by Hawk Creek area and caught 2 nice fish right at 20". Sat we had the please of having someone guide us around for once which was fun for a change. We caught 8 fish on Saturday all on flies and lead. Sunday we only fished a couple hours and caught 2 fish which one was 22" and a little over 4lbs. These fish were all returned on Sunday to fight another day LOL. Seems like the fishing is starting to turn for the better. Water temp was 57 degrees and clear. Good fishing everyone. Remember just cause its winter doesnt mean its not a good time of year to fish, its actually a great time of year. Good fishing everyone

Hey Craig...
Maybe you remember me. You guided for me and a gal friend of mine on my Duckworth back in September on Roosevelt out of Ft. Spokane. I just wanted to confirm with you that I've proven out the absolute validity of your supposed "bannana curse". It's true and after banning the cursed banana from my Duckworth, I've had excellent success. Most recently up on Conconully although the lake was far too low to launch our boat so we rented a 14' aluminum skiff. I'll be in touch to fish Curlew. Ralph Penton

BTW, were the flies you're referring to something like a wooley bugger with a tail in chartreuse, dark green, or hot pink? Hope all is well with you and your wife.
