First day of a 2 day trip, and even though fishing was slow compared to how it's been the last couple years, the weather and company were great!
Spent the morning working the area across from Lincoln known as "A" rock, and our efforts produced one 2 1/2lb trout for Debbie. Since it was slow there, we moved across to Sterling Point and she hooked into another 2+lb 'bow and I lost one on a mono rig. She normally just holds them on the scale, but decided during our last outing that she wanted to start holding them horizontally like I do.
She did well, but realized she had covered up most of the tail, and wanted to change her hold, and well, the fish had other ideas. She got "slimed" and I got a great pic! :-)
We were trolling with our standard gear Frisky Jenny flies on lead line out 150' and a Rip'n Minnow and a jointed #7 Rapala in perch on the mono rigs out 195'. Flies were tipped with a portion of crawler. Surface temps were 57.6°, trolling speed was about 3mph, and both fish in the cooler were caught on the leaded line rigs.
The winds picked up about 1:30 and we decided to call it a day.
