My wife and I fished Saturday the 31st and yesterday the 2nd. We launched at Lincoln on Sat and fished Hawk Creek up to 7 Bays and yesterday we launched at Porcupine and fished up river to Bouy 5. Needless to say it was extremely SLOW.... One nice walleye on Saturday and two Burbot by proxy yesterday. We fished water from 20' to 90+ and it didn't seem to matter. We used blade baits, jigs, Erie heads with Gulp baits, etc. If anyone knows where to get 1oz. gumball style jig heads let me know. It will really help when fishing 70' feet plus. I'm going to check with Do-It molds and see if they have one. The picture I posted is from last weekend which I caught 3 burbot and two walleye. The largest Burbot was about 5 pounds. And if you haven't ate Burbot let me tell you, they're awesome!! Slimy and nasty looking but they're deffinately the poor mans lobster!
