Okay, I know this is a year old but had to post this as we are going out again tomorrow to try our luck on the Columbia for some early Springer action. We were on Ron's boat from a guide service and had a tough day with the rain pelting us all day. I boated a huge springer but had to let it go due to too many fins. We guessed it around 30lb's! a pig! So on our last troll, Ron ran us up past the 205 bridge and were trolling west when "bam!" my buddy Craig's rod buries into the water and starts peeling off line. After about a 15 minute battle this brute made it into the net and I took this picture. The reason I am posting this is if you get this month's issue of Northwest Sportsman magazine and turn to page 71, you will see this picture covering both pages but the caption is incorrect as it has ME as the one holding the fish! lol!!!! I e-mailed Andy and he is posting a correction in next months issue! Anyway, just thought i would get the Springer juices flowing as we will be hitting it hard over the next 6 weeks or so as long as we can fish it! Tight lines all and maybe my picture will be up there next time!
