Tough day on the Spokane Arm. It was raining, windy and the fishing was slow for this time of year. Launched out of Porcupine in a light rain. Headed down river to a point off a campground, picked up a couple of dinks on jigs. Moved down to the islands upriver from Ft Spokane and picked up a couple more dinks. Decided to go up to buoy five. The current is extremely strong because of our record March rainfall. The color is a rich brown just like chocolate milk, obviously not good for our cause. I caught one Burbot and Glenn had a bite. The current was too strong and made our drifts feel about ten miles an hour. We slowly worked our way all the way back to Porcupine without another bite. The water is chocolate all the way to the bay. We headed back to where we started and picked up a couple more dinks on jigs and blade baits. In all our total was ten dink Walleyes and the one Burbot. Kept 4 around 15in. Small but tasty little buggers. Off to the main river with the closing of the Arm.
