Spent the Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Roosevelt north of Kettle Falls camping and shore fishing for walleye. That's right.... shore fishing. Springtime and the annual lake drawdown result in concentrations of walleye if you know where to look. Caught and released about 1/2 dozen on Friday while playing the locating game. Slept in Saturday and still managed to catch 5 smallest about 16" and the largest 20" in about 1 1/2 hours of fishing. Got up earlier on Sunday and managed 8 in about 2 hours with another 20"er. Monday morning was another early start but only got 7 in 2 1/2 hours with another 20"er. Forgive me if I don't get more specific but I am not a fan of competition.
PS To the guys in the Nitro boat that I turned on to my secondary so my wife and I could fish alone.... mums the word about where!
