We finally got out on Roosevelt this year; we hadn’t been out since late October last fall. We launched at Fort Spokane, and went up the arm a couple miles and found a creek running into the main chanel. We trolled for about 3 hours with leaded line, and a fly tipped with a worm. We marked fish between 30 and 60 feet, so that is where we targeted. We had a pretty good afternoon, catching 5 fish, 3 Walleye’s ranging from 16-20 inches. We also caught a small rainbow that we had to keep since he was bleeding and knew he wouldn’t make it, and a 15 inch Kokanee. That is the first time I have caught one of those at Roosevelt, so it was fun. All in all a great day on the lake, the weather was nice, and we got a nice meal out of it.
