What works the best is, set of 2/0 & 3/0 black or red Gamakatsu hooks tided so the hooks are behind each other by 1.5", then 11 - 13inches to Les Davis 0 dodger.( or Lure Jensen http://www.rapala.com/Herring-Dodger/Herring%Dodgerer,default,phtmlml ) on the hooks we use Pro Cure shrimuvuv gel. Just before dropping the hooks down with just Pro Cure we would hit the sent with a camera flash. Now if you are fishing before sun comes up the fish like to stay in the 45ft depth or higher. I you are fishing after the sun is up place youdodgerer & line 8ftft down & troll past the bridges. We found just under 520 on the east side of the bridge trolling forward to I-90 bridge about 100 yards from shore 83ft down has worked for us every time since 1977. When we troll we use a electric motor 50lb thrust running the motor at level 3-4 we found this was the perfect speed
every time. the best thing was when fish and wildlife followed us down the lake to see what we were doing differently.
