Sometimes, there's great great fishing to be had when we have the chance to go, so I accepted another invite to fish with my buddy Gordy below the priest Rapids Dam for winter Whitefish Friday morning. There's something quite majical abut Gordy's hand tied Glow bug egg pattern flies because from the git go, at least, Gordy was into some big, hard fighting Columbia river Whitefish. I struggled today to hookup as often as Gordy "kicked my tail" and put 11 fish on the bank to my 4 landed in about 4 hours of fishing. Later on my good firend David Child of Mattawa showed up with his kids and we all had a great time catching fish! Gordy was quite a hoot as we flipped each other crap esp when he asked me what my problem was today. He reminded me that "He was used to dealing with "special needs types"- (IE: read my pathetic fish catching peformance...) Oh well, It sure beat sitting at home! Thanks again brothers for the memories, beautiful scenery and the chance to film a short lure/fishing video that can be seen on my facebook page @ Jigmiester Custom Lures. Tight lines, Jiggy
