3/27/2013 7:05:00 AMUnless the walleyes are suspended up off the bottom it is often very hard to see them on your depth finder. We have been fishing the Lapham area of Porcupine Bay. Basically you launch out of Porcupine, turn right, and head for the large red house up on the hill. Their is a creek channel that enters the bay near there and has over time created a large flat that the fish have been holding on for the last month. My guess is the rising water level has made them hesitate on their migration upriver to spawn. I wouldn't hesistate to start working upriver if their not biting on the flat. Checkout flash earth, a lot of the photos were taken when the water level was low and show a lot of the structure that is underwater at full pool.
