First Walleye!!!

My daughter and I were lucky enough to get out on the river and give Walleye fishing a try. I knew from talking from a friend that the river can and does produce some great fishing opportunities for Walleye. We launched our boat at the south side of Beebe Bridge and fished the drop off at the mouth the Chelan River. After fishing without a bite for about an hour, my beautiful little girl decided she wanted to try a more pretty lure. I rolled my eye and swapped her "boring" lure for a "pretty' one. Five minutes later she said...DAD!!! I thought she had snagged on the bottom so I asked her for her pole...that's when I knew she was in for some fun. About 5 minutes later she landed this 27 1/2" slob right into the net. Such a proud papa moment.

We were using bottom walkers with a spinner and night crawlers. One other boat on the river with us and they had 3 in.
