Launched my small boat onto Wildcat Lake right at day break for a bass try. A heavy fog hung over the lake, there was no wind and the water was flat as a mirror. Started casting surface lures and the fish were smashing them with a reckless abandon. Most fish were under a pound but a few were in the 12 inch range. A family of 4 large otters were having a great time diving and splashing and coming up chomping on fish I think. The sound of the chomping sorta sounded like they were eating crawfish. Anyway it was a quite, peaceful Sunday on the lake. Only a few other boats were on the water and they were fishing for trout. A couple of anglers were also fishing from the shoreline of the access and were catching trout. One angler had a nice fish that looked to be a couple of pounds.
