My wife and I finally got out this year to get some fishing in. Motored up to hatchery creek and was trolling in 19-22' of water on the west side of the river. Using down riggers, Brad's Baits cut plugs, 11" flashers, shrimp and anise. We put in at about 0700 hours and took out at about 1100. No bites at all. The troll depth was about 15-17'. We were the only boaters in that section of river. Water temp was about 67 degrees.
Something we did see as we were motoring up the river was a deer that was near the west edge of the water with about 3 to 4 coyotes very close by. It looked like they had pressured the deer to that location. I see something different every time I go out.
