Me and my family arrived for a weekend of camping on July 1st, after setting up camp me and my brother-n-law Joe ventured off to the dock for a chance at one of them German Browns... Time continued to past without a bite and we called it an evening.
Silver Lake is very tricky and requires a lot of patience and different presentations, with this in mind me and Joe copped a ride on a boat with a fishing Guru named John from Spanaway. And this is when the real fishing began......... We left from the dock around 12:30 and went directly to Brown Alley where we anchored up and began tossin our worms, 45 minutes later Joe hooked on to a 3 pound brown...Fish on......
20 minutes later he hooks into a 2 and a half pound Bow....Couldnt believe this was happening, a simple adjustment and things change real fast. The key to catching these Browns is to leave your line extremely slack, any tension and fish off...
2 hours in and we had already brought almost five pounds of fish to the boat.
And then BAM John hooks onto a monster Brown and I mean Monster, this thing must of fought for ten minutes, when we got him in he had to of been 4 pounds.....
I personally couldn't bring one to the boat but it wasn't due to the lack of bites, it was due to me being to quick on the draw and not allowing him to TAKE THE BAIT, and I do mean take it. These fish are very smart and can feel any tension
If anyone has tips on the crappie and cats in here feel free to holla.........
