Went to the White Bluffs in an attempt to get my youngest daughter and father on some Chinook. Trolled herring with flashers and Brad's cutplug with tuna for a couple hours with no takers. Decided to change it up and run jet divers and eggs.

Five minutes into the backtroll, daughter catches around a two pound jack. While she is fighting that fish, my goes off and stripping line downstream. After circling the boat and hooking all three motors, we land about a 14lb King. Thought we had them figured out but goes quiet for about two hours. Did not see anyone else hooking up either.

Move downstream a ways and start backtrolling with eggs and divers still and dad hooks one after ten minutes. Fights it a while and fish breaks off, drag a little too tight. Tried for another hour but it is getting too hot and daughter says she is roasting. Meat was great on the one we kept, smoked awesome!

Threw on a picture of a decent day last year. Dad landed the big one on 10lb test and an ultralight steelhead rod, thought it was going to do him in!

Good job changing it up and having success! I'm sure it feels good to be out there fishing with family - and catching to boot!
Like vatoloca, I wonder why not many people post any reports. Most guys don't get to fish near as often as they would like to and are always wondering how it's going on the river...
It's all good. Tight lines
