My brother and I fished the confluence again today. Started off trolling the south shore of the mouth and picked up five fish with three to the boat on our first pass. We fished all the way to the point heading out to Seven Bays and turned around. We shot back up the the cove right after the no wake buoy and started drift trolling back towards the mouth. We ended up making three passes on the south shore with 8 fish in the cooler and a couple more getting off. After the third pass we decided to fish the rocks across from Lincoln and hooked two fish within the first 5 minutes with both fish getting off. We ended up not getting another bite trolling the rocks and then the net pens downstream from Lincoln. Headed back to the mouth of the Spokane and made one more pass without another bite. It was really crowded by then with at least six boats in the area fishing the same stretch. Ended the day at around 3 p.m. with eight fish. Big fish came in at 18" and the smallest around 16".
We were fishing with Kekeda Flies in orange and chartreuse with the orange boating 5 of the 8 fish. We had the downriggers set at 12 feet and a trolling speed of 2.3 to 2.6 mph. Water was down about 10' or so.
