This report is for Friday and Saturday. We launched out of Seven Bays Friday morning and started trolling in the bay as you come out of the launch area. The water was calm, too calm. I like some chop seems to help the bite. We had four of us on board so that meant we had to catch 20 if everyone got a limit. We fished mostly flies and Rapala's.

We found the fish at three colors leaded line and 20' on the downriggers. One of the most successful setups was an orange bunny leech off the downrigger. It was really working. The other was an original Rapala F13 with an orange belly and chartreuse sides. What a blast we had! We had 17 in the boat when the WDFW officers checked on us to see how we were doing. They were very polite and when I showed them the 19" 3# Kokanee they were very surprised! man do those Kokanee fight great! It hit the Rapala of all things.

Finished out the day with our limit of twenty fat rainbows and one really fine Kokanee.

Went back to Seven Bays Saturday and took my brother in law......he whined that he really wanted to go Saturday so I loaded up the boat and away we went in 2 degree weather this morning....brrrr........

Rods in about 10:30 with a little wind and chop; sure glad for the top and heater! We no sooner got going and here came the WDFW officers again! He remembered me from yesterday and just wanted to see brother in laws license. We got finished up by 2 with 10 beautiful rainbows. What a beautiful day with bright sunshine shining through the windows on the boat. Very pleasant indeed.

Tight lines - Alan

PS put the silver in the pellet barbeque for dinner tonight ...YUM!!
