We were the first boat to launch at Ft Spokane. Started fishing at 6:30am at Casino flats for Walleye, have several bites within first 15 minutes. Within an hour landed two Walleye, after that things just slowed down. After fishing for Walleye without much success until 9:30 am, we pulled out the trolling rods with leaded line and started working on the Trout. First fish caught was a Kokanee about 15 inches long.

It took us from about 10am to 4pm to get our 10 trout limit, but we did spend some of the time just checking out some spots. 1 Trout caught by 7 bays the other 9 Trout caught at Fort Spokane by the mouth. It was lots of fun as this was my first time fishing for them having the proper setup and correct flies.

The hot flies of the day were Kekeda Perch pattern which caught 7 Trout and 1 Kokanee and a Rippin Rap caught 3 Trout. Trolled at 2.5 - 3 mph. Most fish caught around 2.6 - 2.8 mph. Leaded line 150 ft out and the Ripping Rap was a lot more, didn't have a line counter on the reel, but probably 180 or 200ft.

So while I was trolling I came across something that looked awkward on my sonar, so I switch to structure scan on my Lowrance. Attached is the picture of what I saw, appears to be a bridge . It looks like its about 40ft tall and maybe 150ft long. This was close to the mouth of the Spokane River. I saved the location on my GPS, I'll try to get some better pictures of it next time.

That looks like the bridge over the river at Ft. Spokane. Are you sure your transducer was in the water? LOL :)
It wuill be interesting to see if anyone knows the history of a sunken bridge out there.

Glad you had success with the flies! Great bunch of fish. That's a great day to get a limit of trout, two walleye and a Kokanee. Awesome picture of the bridge as well. That will be in my mind every time I cruise over that way.

Nice catch. Keep trying for the wallys. I didn't even know there was a bridge down there still.

After a little searching the bridge is probably called "Nee Bridge" attached are some pictures of what it looks like prior to the dam being built

That's awesome. I wonder how many lures and jigs have been stuck to it?

Lowrance Structure Scan is an amazing piece of equipment especially when you use it conjunction with the sonar. If you haven't already, try the mapping function without the water column. You can literally make your own map with all of the underwater structures shown and even marked with waypoints. Looks like you have a Gen 2 touch screen; really worth the money. I got the HDS 12 Gen 2 touch and use it in conjunction with another HDS 10. At least I'll know where they are when the DON'T bite. LOL
