My good friend from Tennessee who fished Roosevelt with me last year and got hooked on the great trout fishing as well as the potential for landing trophy kokes brought his daughter over for a weekend fishing trip. After a great breakfast and good conversation with other fisherman at Corner Cafe in Creston we were on the water by 8 am and fish on by 8:15, trout, another trout, another and all day trout. Although we were targeting kokanee with kekedata pink flies we just couldn't find one but the trout slammed them kekedata flies. I ran them with a spinner set up, red and pink beads using a smile blade for slow trolling. We releasing a few wild trout we caught so they can pass they're genes on (they're getting close to spring spawning period) it was no problem filling 4 limits of sterile/triploid trout. I really think the pink kekedata's got potential so gonna try it again tomorrow. I got a report from another angler the orange ones are hot too. I plan on ordering some.

Nice catch you guys and gals! Glad to hear the Kekeda worked for you too. Didn't get to go this weekend so really enjoy seeing what others did. - Alan

Very nice catch! 4 limits with some wild ones released is an awesome day. Good to hear those trout liked the pink Kekeda. I'll set some orange ones to the side with your name on them! :)

I probably seen you there yesterday. We thought about trying one of the Kekeda's but we were not sure how to fish them. Do you troll them right along the surface or with leaded line or downrigger? Most of the fish we caught were at 15' - 20'. Thanks

Fished them on the surface and downrigger 120 ft back 15 - 25 ft down. Put a few beads, and smiley blade set up . Caught some kokes with them today.
