I stopped on my way back to Seattle to fish Evergreen. I have a 20 foot bass boat. I launched on the east side. The ramp is primitive and shallow but I had no problem putting in. The wind was kicking 20-30 mph to the east. Only one other boat on the lake. They had caught one small walleye and a perch drifting with the wind.
I fished the Islands looking to site a musky while I fished the shallow areas. I did see plenty of Carp. I picked up one bass around 3 lb. smallie right off the bat and another bass closer to 6 lbs. Largemouth.
I was only out for about 2 1/2 hours. I dont know where the musky are but there are a lot of perch that would chase up the plugs.
The wind really kicks up. I would not recommend a unpowered boat on a windy day. My trolling motor had a hard time pushing up wind.
Oh yeah Ducks and geese all over the east side.....
